PACIFIC BREAST CENTER (PBC) PROVIDES HIGHEST RESOLUTION DIGITAL MAMMOGRAPHIC SERVICE AVAILABLE:

Pacific Breast Center’s commitment to excellence and determination to be at the forefront of diagnostic breast imaging services in the Northwest has brought some major technical advances that further enhance its ability to provide an unexcelled level of service.

Dr Bill Eklund, Medical Director, relates that “For the past three years we have resisted the pressure to offer digital mammography, believing that our patients and referring community would be better served by our waiting for higher resolution and more cost-effective digital imaging equipment. The time has come!”

PBC is now converting from analog mammographic services to a totally integrated, new generation, ultra-high resolution (50 micron) Fuji CR digital mammography system. “Simply stated”, says Dr Eklund, “we are about to offer patients the highest resolution digital mammography of any breast imaging service in the area.”

Health practitioners who refer to PBC will realize an added benefit. Referring physicians will have the option of viewing their patients mammograms through the Patient Archiving Communication System (PACS), which allows transmission of images, sonograms, breast ultrasound, breast MRI studies and Breast Specific Gamma Imaging (BSGI) studies to any facility, anywhere in the world where the ability to view digital images exists.
