Now Pacific Breast Center (PBC) and Body Imaging Radiology (BIR) are Matching In-Network Benefits of Providence Controlled Insurance Plans

Effective immediately, all patients the law allows may be seen at PBC and BIR without paying higher out-of-network charges.*

In-Network Matching Policy Overview

• Allows all patients to be seen at PBC and BIR
• Restores physician access to the imaging center of their choice
• Alleviates the burdensome task of determining which patients may be seen at our facilities
• Applies specifically to patients covered by Providence insurance products and the over 125 insurance plans controlled by Providence through its rented provider panels

Policy Details

• We will match in-network benefits by writing off the difference between “in” and out-of-network benefits
• Patients will be charged the same co-pay and/or patient responsibility charges they would have paid in-network. Nothing more.

*Exclusions

The law does not allow patients with Providence Medicare and Medicaid products to be seen at PBC and BIR. These patients have no out-of-network benefits and Medicare/Medicaid prohibit us from writing off their charges. The exception to the exclusion is Providence Medicare Supplement Plan F.
